Education

Dr. Varsha Kamal, a passionate researcher and entrepreneur, is a Doctorate degree holder in Environmental Science and Engineering from Carleton University, Canada, where she conducted her research under the prestigious Commonwealth Fellowship. She also holds a Masters degree in Environmental Science & Engineering from the renowned IIT Bombay.

Contribution to the industry

Dr. Varsha has invested over a decade in research on environmental issues and developed several processes to tackle difficult unaddressed or partially resolved problems related to Tanneries, Textile, Pharmaceutical & Chemicals, Food processing, Steel and Metal finishing, Mining and Power Industries. In India, she has been associated with NEERI and other reputed organizations dedicated to research in environmental field.

• Introduced ‘Zero Discharge Technology’ in India for Textile Industry in 1994 & ‘Soak Liquor Treatment Technology’ in India & Nigeria for Tannery Industry in 1996.
• Worked as a Research Engineer for World Bank sponsored project under Government of Punjab to study the feasibility of sewerage system for ten major cities of Punjab.
• Pioneered Municipal Solid Waste Management in India in 1997.
• Developed indigenous technologies for saving energy consumption & generation of usable by-products from waste

• Woman Entrepreneur of the year, 2016 (SME Chamber of India).
• Radha Krishnan Puraskar for outstanding career.
• Rajiv Gandhi Excellence Award’ in 1995 for championing Water Conservation and Pollution Control by executing 200 projects over a span of 2 years.

Education

Mr. Subhash Kamal, a master brainstormer and go-getter, is a Civil engineer with a Masters degree in Environmental Science & Engineering from the prestigious IIT Bombay. 

Contribution to the industry

Mr. Kamal brings over 30 years of experience in Environmental Industry and has worked on several research projects while in IIT Bombay and NEERI in India. Areas of work include Design & Development of Industrial Furnaces, Effluent Treatment Plants, Incineration Systems and Air Pollution Control Systems. He has published several technical papers in leading industry publications and is a member of several industry organizations. He specializes in Design & Drawing, Planning & Execution and Business Development functions as well as Managerial assistance for Procurement, Vendor Selection & Development and Erection & Commissioning.

• Engineering of basic processes and scale-ups to commercial level has been his proven core strength demonstrated through over 1000 projects operational worldwide.
• Developed transportable Water Treatment Plants, Dairy Waste Treatment and Distillery Spent-wash Treatment plants with Bio-gas recovery
